Table to Farm Compost promises to keep fighting the good fight.
In general, TFC stays non-partisan and out of current politics. But since corporations are people too, here’s our thoughts:
Despite your thoughts on last week’s election, one thing is for certain: climate change is real, it is manmade, and it is an imminent threat to the Earth and our species. Despite what Trump’s and our new EPA transition leader Myron Ebell may think, the vast majority of climate scientists DO believe manmade climate change is real. In fact 97% of climate scientists agree, which is a consensus number almost unheard of in the scientific community. In 2016, we have more than enough data and a solid understanding of our climate. There is no good reason for officials to deny manmade climate change unless they’re in the pockets of the energy industry or just plain ignorant.
Despite the current political climate (pun intended), Table to Farm Compost promises to keep fighting the good fight. We pledge to continue working to save food waste from the landfill and therefore reduce greenhouse gas emissions, keep working toward a greener Durango and a greener world, support our local economy by buying local whenever possible, and constantly seek out opportunities for further waste reduction, efficiency, and sustainability.
